Wolf Guard — Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED 16 AUGUST 2026

Wolf Guard is a browser extension that reads the risk limits you publish from Wolf Tracker and blocks TradingView orders that breach them. This policy explains exactly what it handles.

WHAT THE EXTENSION STORES

Two values you paste in yourself: the endpoint URL of your own Wolf Tracker app, and a read-only link token. Both are kept in your browser’s local extension storage on your device.

It also caches the most recent limits snapshot it fetched — account name, maximum contracts, stop distance, dollar risk per trade, lock state — plus a short local audit log of blocked orders. All of it stays on your device.

WHAT IT SENDS, AND WHERE

The only network request it makes is to the endpoint URL you entered — your own Wolf Tracker app — sending the link token to fetch your limits. Nothing is sent anywhere else.

No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties, and none is used for advertising, analytics, profiling, or credit assessment.

WHAT IT DOES NOT COLLECT

No broker credentials, no TradingView login details, no account numbers, no payment information, no browsing history, and no page content beyond the order fields it must read to size a trade (quantity, symbol, buy/sell).

It never places, modifies, or cancels an order. It only prevents a click when the order breaches your published limits.

PERMISSIONS AND WHY

storage — keeps your endpoint, token and cached limits locally.

alarms — refreshes your limits periodically so a stale risk state can fail closed.

host access — the TradingView pages where orders are placed, and the endpoint URL you supply, which can be any domain because you host your own tracker.

RETENTION AND DELETION

Everything lives in local extension storage. Removing the extension from your browser deletes all of it. Clearing the fields in the popup disconnects it immediately.
